Asbury Place continuing care retirement community in Kingsport celebrated the grand opening of its new clubhouse Tuesday, Sept. 20. The clubhouse, featuring both community and wellness space, is the centerpiece of $1.4 million in enhancements at the Asbury Place Baysmont campus. Participating in the ceremony are, from left, Marge Shonnard, chief operating officer of Asbury Inc., the nonprofit operator of Asbury Place; Sandra Brown, executive director of Asbury Place Kingsport; Maggie Cooper, director of lifestyles and wellness for Asbury Place Kingsport; Kingsport Mayor John Clark; and Kingsport Chamber representative Don Campbell.
Registration for our “Kick Sundowners at Sundown” 3K/1-mile Fun Walk has officially begun! On Friday, September 30th, at 6:30 p.m. Asbury’s beautiful campus will once again be the site for this awesome event. With over 160 participants and $1,700 raised in 2014, this is Team Asbury’s largest fund raiser for Alzheimer’s TN. This fun-filled evening brings the entire campus together – all residents on campus, staff from all departments, plus families and friends with the goal of raising awareness and support to end Alzheimer’s. In addition, face painting, a bounce house and other fun activities for children will be provided. Please note that to be guaranteed a t-shirt, your paid registration is due by September 19th.
